FLR(M) Extension Start Date

For a successful FLR(M) application, from what date does the 30 month extension start? Does it immediately follow on after the expiry of the original 33 month visa or does it start from the date the application is approved/processed?

Which is why you should only apply within 28 days before the previous visa expires so that you avoid having to do an additional extension to cover a shortfall from applying too early.
