Leave to remain - min income...

Post by vrodrigues » Tue Nov 25, 2014 5:47 pm

Hello,
I am currently on my 1st spouse visa granted for 2.5 years and will need to apply for leave to remain for another 2.5 years soon.
It is very possible my husband (UK citizen) will not have his job then = no income. I work in the UK (as allowed by my spouse visa) and have salary over £19K. Can my salary be used as a source of income for my visa prolongation? Or is it a problem that I am working on a spouse visa?

Many thanks in advance
V.

Yes,you can. You can use yours, his or combine income.
You have full right to work as long as you're not claiming any benefit, you should be fine.

Working tax and child tax credit could be claimed jointly with him being the primary claimant.
