NHS charges for spouse

Post by chibakun » Fri Dec 05, 2014 10:48 am

I'm married to a JPN citizen and we are living in the UK. We both work and pay NI. She thinks there is a new rule coming next year where she will have to pay £200 per year to use the health service NHS. Is this correct?

Why ever not? It's a perfectly acceptable question to ask. What visa category does you wife hold?

FLR spouse visa and she's on her first 2.5 year period. We have to renew next June for another 2.5 years.

In which case, rest assured that she will continue to be free of NHS charges.
