Schengen (EU) visa for ILR parents of British Citizen child

Post by sidcyrus » Fri Jan 09, 2015 11:14 pm

Dear All,

Need some advise.

Me and wife are on ILR (Residence Card) but minor kids are now British Citizens. Do me and wife need visa to go to Spain or other EU countries ?

As per below page -
https://eumovement.wordpress.com/2010/0 ... to-travel/

which states ,

"If you have a “Residence Card” for a family member of an EU/EEA citizen, then you in most cases do not need a visa"

Does it mean no visa required ?

And is the rule different for dirrenet countries e.g. Spain, France.

If a visa is needed, is it issued for free (for family of EU citizen) or fee is required.

Thank you for any advise !!

You will need a visa if your nationality is one that requires a visa and a fee will probably be payable.
