Fee for biometrics, physical exam for FoSP visa UK

Post by Strawfrawg » Wed Mar 11, 2015 6:24 pm

Hello.

I am preparing a budget for expenses related to my forthcoming application for a Family of a Settled Person visa.

It is my understanding that as a current U.S. resident, I will have to go to a appointment at the Department of Homeland Security to get a photo and fingerprints done, which I will then be required to send to the UK Home Office. I can't find any information on how much these biometrics cost, and phone calls to DHS send me in circles. Does anyone here know the current fees?

Also, should I expect to need a physical exam done in support of my visa application? If so, can I choose the doctor, or is there a list of acceptable U.S. providers? How much should I expect this to cost?

Thank you in advance.
