Opened casefile...what is the meaning...?

Post by Prince1 » Mon Sep 03, 2007 5:30 pm

I am a non visa national on Work Permit, First got married in 2003 and
ex-Spouse came to the UK in 2003 on a spouse-dependent visa and things didn't work out.. Citizen Advice Bureau informed. Home office notified and all records carefully kept. Divorce was obtained in the country where the marriage took place and copy sent to home office followed by a detailed e-mail, the overseas mission involved was copied. The home office replied saying ?Due to sensitivity when investigating allegations, the Home Office will not inform me of any progress made as I am considered a third party. They promise to take the appropriate action?. That was in March 2005.

I have since re-marry and wife was issued a visa to join me without any problem. We recently apply for ILR by premium service and was told that they can not deal with the application because a case file is opened…. What does this means..I intend to post it hopefully next week.... what can I do to strenghten the application ...Any experience of this...?,

Thanks guys.

well your story isn't clear but there is some investigation going on which precludes them from processing your case, I think that is pretty evident from their wording.

Can you let me know what is not clear about the story....It is obvious some investigation is going on. ...but to have lasted over 2 years is what I don't understand... And I also need more contributions and any experience in this kind of situation.....

You need to write and ask them..or make the postal application and see.

No one here can guess what the problem is.
