Visitor Visa for wife's parents

Post by smrajan » Sat Jul 18, 2015 12:01 am

Hi All,

Hope someone can help me here. i am planning to call my wife's parents in uk as a visitor from NEPAL. We cant get 'Relationship certificate' from local authority of nepal because her mother got married with current father after her born. I am thinking following options at the moment :

1) Sent all sponshorship documents, write a cover letter and mention that he is a step father.
2) They have enough properties, bank balance on their name in NEPAL. they can just apply themself without our sponshorship.

I am a British citizen and my wife is on dependant visa (valid until july 2017), We both working full time. Could anyone please advise what would be the best option for us ?

Thanks in advance,
Raj

1. Do they have a marriage certificate?
2. Does your spouse have a birth certificate with her mother's name on it?

These documents should be able to show "relationship" between your spouse and the step-father. And this can be explained in a covering letter.

IMHO ...

Hi sushdmehta,

Thanks for your reply...

The answer of both statements are YES. Regarding explaining in a covering letter, does it has to be from my wife's mother or from anyone of us ?

My wife is writing a sponshorship letter for them, i am writing another letter stating that i will fully support my wife for her parents visit. hope it should be okay.

Waiting for your advise..

Thanks,
Rajan

Sorry for jumping in. Your in-laws need to mention this while filling up their visa forms. They can also write a cover letter, explain all that in that letter and attach it with visa application. You guys don't have to write all this in your sponsor letter.
