can pakistan government pension count towards income

Post by shahid hussain » Sun Jul 26, 2015 9:13 pm

My wife is a British citizen by birth as well as my two children who have just got employment after completing studies in UK. After serving the Government of Pakistan(GOP) for three decades,I retired in 2012 and am in receipt of GOP pension of around 800 pounds per month.I got my spouse visa on 23rd of Nov2013 and entered uk on 24th December 2013.At that time my wife was employed but after I came here, she started her own business with the savings I brought here.So far her business is not doing well.
I will be applying for leave to remain in May 2016 for another 30 months and have two questions
1.Can my pension from government of Pakistan count towards income for immigration purposes ?
2.If so, how much cash savings I must show to meet the deficiency ?
3.If not,how much cash savings must be in my account for six months ?
Regards
Shahid

Why the sweeping No.

According to my understanding of the Law, foreign state pension is indeed included in Category E.

Therefore OP'S £800 pension will be taken into account in calculating the 18600 requirement .
