Tier 2 General Dependent For Child - Single Parent

Post by rram » Tue Oct 20, 2015 10:40 am

I am a single parent and currently residing in UK on a Tier -2 General Migrant Visa. I am looking to apply dependent visa for my 6 year old kid who is currently living in India with his grandparents (my parents).
To apply for the visa, do I have to go in person with my son to VFS in India or can my son go to VFS accompanied with his grandparents? Can anybody please advise?

Thanks.

You can send your parents a letter giving them authority to deal with the childs visa process etc.

Not to pry, but where is the other parent? UKVI will likely be interested in this and whether you have sole responsbility.
