skilled worker immigration-working experience?

Post by Kang » Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:28 pm

Hi all

I am a PhD student in EU. I've been working on projects for my MSc degree and are paid by a fellowship. I wonder what kind of documentation is required to say that even though i have student visa, i've been working for the last 2 years. I dont have any contract with the university, just the letter confirming that i am a student receiving fellowship.

any help is appreciated.

What do you want to apply to Canada for? Is it the migration scheme, a job or something else? It's not clear in your writing. And what EU country are you referring to, and how long have you been there? And what country are you from?

If you're on a student visa, they obviously can't provide you with any letter confirming your status as an employee, because you are not! If you have been working on projects, then ask your project manager/s to write letters of support stating your role in these projects and how they tied into your studies. Make sure they're on official letter heads and signed and dated. Other than that, I don't know...not even sure what you're applying for!
