Applying for BC after PR - Insurance required?

Hi guys

I am intending to apply for BC once I get my pr (which I am currently waiting to hear from HO). In the meantime, I thought I would get prepared for the BC application and wondered if you guys could advise me on the below.

I am an EU national and have lived in the UK for over 10 years. I stopped working last month to pass a state exam although I am studying independently and hence am not registered to any school. I am not intending to go back to work before the end of my exam which is in June 2016 - by which i hope I will get my PR.

I note from my PR application that, if someone holds a student status in the UK, a comprehensive health insurance is required to prove that the person has exercise Treaty Rights. For the purpose of applying for BC next year, would I require a CHI even if I get my PR during the 12 months before my BC application? I mean, would it be ok not to have an insurance while I am studying because I would have had a PR?

In my current status (EU national waiting for PR + left work for independent studying without registration at a school + no insurance + not claiming any benefits), what else should I consider for the purpose of applying for BC next year?

If you have PR you don't need CSI as you are no longer required to exercise treaty rights to have a right to reside. Once you have PR you have a permanent right to reside which does not depend on your activity in the UK.
PR is acquired automatically, what you are applying for is just the confirmation of something you have already acquired (assuming that you meet all criteria for PR)

Hopefully you submitted your 'confirmation of PR' application whilst still working/before you stopped to study (?).

No need for CSI once you have acquired PR.

Other requirements for privilege of citizenship include ensuring:

• any absences from UK over past 5 years were within prescribed limits;
  note absence rules for naturalisation are different from absence rules for PR;
  proof you were physically present in UK on day 5 years before date of naturalisation application;
  sound mind;
  good character;
  do not get in trouble with the law in any shape or form;
  KOLL./LITUK;
  referees to vouch for you;
