Registration to be done before current Visa expires?

Post by yogesh_81 » Mon Jan 25, 2016 12:45 pm

Dear all,

My wife and I have our ILR approved last weekend (23rd) and are awaiting BRP cards which should arrive this week.

We intend to apply for the registration of our UK born son now and wanted to clarify whether we need to apply before his current Visa (Tier 1 Dependent Child) expires (5th Feb) OR can we do it even after that?

Also, should we wait until our BRP cards arrive or can we book an NCS appointment straightaway?

PS: We do not have any travel plans yet.

Thanks,
Yogesh

Should probably register immediately after BRP arrives.

There may be NHS issues between expriry of leave and grant of citizenship.
