Marriage Issue

Hello everyone!
I need a help with my situation... I have a current student visa that expire on 1st of february 2016 and I am going to get married with an european citizen soon.
We have the appointment on 9th of february 2016 and the pre-date of the ceremony on 10th of may 2016. I went to INIS to talk and look for the right way to solve that, and they were rude and said that extensions are not available and I should renew as student again.
Anyone here has an advice? It is 3 months and a half until apply for the new visa (stamp 4).
