Passport Pass Back Service (Pakistan)

Hi all
I have applied for a UK settlement visa for my wife and yesterday she submitted her passport at the visa application centre run by Gerrys in Lahore.

My wife travels extensively in Asia as part of her job and ideally does not want her passport kept by the UK visa people for the circa 12 weeks it would take to make a decision.

I emailed the UKVI and they stated the following:
"Unless the Visa Application centre offers the 'Passport Pass Back' Service, check their website, the passport will be with the authorities until a decision has been made."

I can't find anything on the Gerrys website about this - anyone managed to get their passport returned early?
