GESE Grade 5 B1 CEFR with Distinction

GESE Grade 5 B1 CEFR issued by an approved Trinity College SELT Centre in Nov 2014. After April 2015 the centre moves a few hundred yards away but still the same approved SELT centre. London Euston Centre moved to London Holborn Centr
Certificate should be valid for 2 years. I phoned HO numerous times and they can't clearly confirm if this certificate is still valid or not. They say "might not be".
I phoned up Trinity College and (of course, it's all about money) they told me that I have to re-sit for this qualification.
The certificate has not been used for ILR as back in 2002 when I was granted with ILR there was no such requirement.
I'm very confused about this and I find so unfair to re-sit for this qualification as other qualifications that run out are still considered by HO. https://www.gov.uk/english-language/app ... ifications

If used for ILR you may be able to use it.

Otherwise the guidance (on link you posted) is clear - only providers & centres on current list are accepted.

In London that seems to be Hammersmith Grove & Holborn SELT.

My understanding is that GESE qualifications are not accepted for BC applications. Even more risky when this wasn't submitted and approved for ILR.

@Casa, in this context 'GESE' is Graded Examinations in Spoken English

It's not about CSEs. or GCEs, or GCSEs or etc (which would not be acceptable for the intended purpose).

I hope this is not true as I paid £150 to do one last month and I am using it for my BC application
