What to do after EEA family permit is about to expire?

Post by JeffSA78 » Fri Feb 26, 2016 2:55 pm

In a similar situation to the original post - Residence card of a family member of an EEA national expires end of October 2016.

As I understand it I need to apply for this to be renewed or for PR. My big concern is that I travel into Europe for work at least once a month and sometimes more - am I able to get my passport returned to me during this application?

Thanks in advance

Do you have a national identity card in addition to a passport? You can use that to travel within the EU.

- and passport/docs can be requested to be returned after application has been filed.

Thanks for the info - a bit more relaxed knowing I can request to get my passport returned during the application.
