FLR (M)

Post by sarakhatoon » Wed Mar 09, 2016 11:47 pm

I moved to UK with my son in Dec 2006 as a student dependant and after that i was always on a dependant visa. My daughter was born here in 2010 but she is on indian passport. Currently i am on tier 2 dependant visa which expires in aug 2017. My husband now got ILR based on 10 yrs residence in Feb 2016. I will be eligible for ILR as my 10 yrs finishes on Dec 2016. I dont know if my visa is still valid as my husband got his new biometric card.
1) Is my visa still valid?
2) Do i need to apply for FLR (m) or wait till Dec 2016 and apply for ILR (i am not planning to leave UK). If i wait will the current visa still be valid as my husband is no longer on Tier 2 so how can my dependant visa will still be valid ?
3) If i need to apply for FLR (m) how much health surcharge i have to pay as i will be applying for ILR in Dec 2016 so according to me it should be 200 pounds as i want visa till Dec 2016 but my friend told me its 500 pounds as FLR (m) is given for 2.5 years?
4) Can my daughter who is born here apply for british passport as my husband has indefinate leave to remain?
Please please please help me i am very confused

1. If you are not travelling and your leave is not curtailed and you are not subject to removal, then I believe your leave is still valid.

2. Wait if 1 applies.

3. FLR(M) may be granted for a period of 30 months. There's a corresponding immigration health surcharge.

4. U.K. born child is entitled to register immediately. A British child will cut the financial burden of FLR(M).
