PR - how to answer sponsor question

Hi All,

I am glad I have found this post. I have same scenario but have a question on recent form for applying PR.

I am referring EEA(PR) form last updated on 20/07/2015.

My wife (EEA National) will apply for Document certifying Permenant Residence and my self (Non-EEA) will apply with her on same form as family memer for Permenant Residence Card within this month.

My question comes on Section 2 and Section 11 of the above form and need your help to complete this section.

1) Section 2: This section is for Sponser details. But my wife will be main applicant so I guess she does not have to complete this section as she is deriving right of residence by herself. Please confirm.

2) Section 11: In the begining of this section it says "Complete this section if you’re applying for a document certifying permanent residence or permanent residence card because you are (or were) the spouse, civil partner, or durable partner of the person named in section 2 of this form (your ‘sponsor’)."

Now its me who is deriving right of residence from my wife (in other words my sponser). There is nothing to add in section 2 as a sponser because my wife is main applicant. So I am not sure being a spouse of main applicant do I need to complete this section or not?

In short do I need to complete any of these section? If yes then which one?

1) Agreed, correct.

2) Bear in mind the form is generic and is intended for all sorts of applicants in all sorts of circumstances.
It is also a not very well-designed form.

Suggest complete section 11 anyway.
If caseworker needs such information they will use it; if not they will simply disregard it.

I'm filling the form this week and had exactly the same question about Section 2 and Section 11.
My husband is an EEA national applying for PR and I'm the Non EEA family member. We've married for five years and plan to apply using the same for, but the Section 2 Sponsor and Section 11 about my status are really confusing.


Could someone shed some lights on whether we need to fill in these sections?
