Skipping ILR for foreign born child

Dear members if someone can help me me and my wife are going to apply for ILR on the basis of tier1 through PEO but the question is regarding my child he is here in uk from 2011 and he is 9 year old .my question is can I skip him from the application and if we get ILR we apply to register him as British or naturalisation

No, he has not entitlement to Register as British. Children born abroad are expected to hold ILR (free from immigration time restrictions/settled) in order to qualify for citizenship and children born abroad can only apply for citizenship if one or both parents are applying at the same time.

If you choose to skip ILR for the child, you will lose the fee (£936) when the application is refused. There is no appeal right for refused citizenship application. There have been many members who thought they could do this and have failed, including the childs visa expiry and not have valid leave or ILR.
