Initial Entry on EC

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what is the initial time limit to enter UK after getting the EC. I called BHC and spoke to 2 different persons (cross checking) one told me it's 28 days from the date i got the visa, 2nd told me there is no time limit as long as i have the valid visa i can do the initial entry within 2 years.

Can anyone help me on this as i want to travel in first week of April and i got my visa stamped on the 20th Jan.
