Unemployment Time Limit under Tier 2

HI All,

Below is my situation -

Change of Tier sponsorship -1st September 2016
Payroll start at new company - 1st September 2016
Previous Employment end date - 31st August 2016

Recently I have found that HMRC doesn't have my August 2016 payroll information and when contacted my previous company they informed me that HMRC cannot update the payroll for a single month and it can only done by updating the entire financial year with tax updates of all the employees of that company which is time consuming process.

With respect to this, my previous company has suggested a word around of being employed during August 2016.

My questions are

1. Will this one month of unemployment cause an issue while applying ILR in June 2018?
2. How long a person can be employment under Tier 2 while switching jobs.

It shouldn't cause any issue. Your accurate tax information should still reflect in the P45
