English Language requirement vis a vis 'qualification'

Post by ATS » Sat Feb 02, 2008 4:43 pm

Hi,

I am planning to apply for my HSMP sometime mid / end of Feb 2008. I am a CA from India and in UK for past couple of years on work permit. Having read some of the information on this board (which is indeed very useful), I think that for "qualifications" criteria, I would refer to as "Academic - Masters Degree", as I understand that CA from India is considered as UK Masters by NARIC (read this in one of the discussions here).

Now, for meeting english language requirement, I do not currently intend to take IELTS test and understand that only Bachelors' degree would be considered for evaluation by HO (and not masters). Would that mean that I need to get 2 letters of comparibility from NARIC - one for CA and other for Bachelor's Degree (which is B. Com from Mumbai university)? does B.Com from mumbai university qualify as equivalent to UK Bachelor's?

Please let me know.

Hi
u do not need 2 letters from NARIC, when u will apply in NARIC send both ur degree certificates onetime. They will send u one letter , on which both ur qualification will be mentioned
best of luck
