Planning to apply for FLR earlier by 6 months

Post by ashishashah » Fri Feb 15, 2008 8:32 pm

Hello,

I am thinking of applying for FLR sooner(my Current leave expires in Nov -08 ) ,as the fees for FLR will become 750 from March 08 (instead of 350 as of now)

Do you think it is a wise idea??

I got approval by applying before 10 months.

Just state some genuine agreeable reason in covering letter. and no need to attach any proof for it.

Only on 2 points you must be cautious

1. make sure that your documents are crisp and clear. Because if even one document in not clear, chances of rejection is high in early application as they may think that you have still more time to apply again.

So make sure that your documents are clear, then no problem with early application at all

2. also if they give you Leave to remain from Feb 08 to Feb 11 you should be able to accept it. This one area you should be cautious if you are in direct 2 + 3 category . But 90% they will give leave from your date of expiry only. Until now we didnt found a case of giving leave from date of application in early applications we saw. But be prepared for it

Thanks Hari..About point 1 i will be careful..About point 2 ,even if they give me FLR from Feb 08 i dont mind as any ways i will have to apply for 2nd FLR even if my 1st FLR is from Nov 08 to Nov 11 (as i will qualify for ILR in Dec 11) ..So 2nd FLR is inevitable..

Can you please tell me the DEADLINE to apply under HSMp scheme ..I know its changing on 29th feb,so my App. shd. reach HO by 27th so that they can deduct payment??

Also in worst case ,for some silly reason if they reject( i am qualifying, infact getting 80 points) i have still chance to reapply isn't it??

Thanks
Ashish

Revised fees...

Post by hsmpseek » Sat Feb 16, 2008 12:58 am

I am sorry for diverting the topic...
I have initial HSMP approval letter with me and I am planning to apply for FLR HSMP stamping in the first week of March 2008.

Are you very sure that fees going to increase? Like £750?

Do you have any links etc where I can verify this information?

Thanks in advance,

HSMP Seek
