Spouse Visa - Counting of Days in UK

Does anyone have any information on how UKBA count the days in country for a Spouse visa during the initial 33 months? How is this physically tracked given the system in UK of not scanning passports on exit from the country.

e.g. If I have 2 passports and leave on the one not linked to my spouse visa then when I return how will they know if I have been out of the country for 2 days versus 5 months?

I know this is not in the spirit of the system but with such strict regulation and family and work to be done it is very tough to keep to the required days.

There is NO absence limit for spouse visa holders. Not sure why you think there is or what "strict regulation" you are referring g to??

Are HO aware of your other passport and was it declared when applying for your spouse visa?
