a query about kid’s Set(LR) dependent visa and ROA

Post by zstbaby » Mon Sep 11, 2017 11:12 am

Dear members
Wish you all well!

I have a query about kid’s Set(LR) dependent visa and ROA. Please give me some advice.

My son, 2 years old, born in the UK, dependent visa with his dad now. His visa will expire on 30/09/2017. His dad will apply Set(LR) this month.

Question 1. Since my son can not apply dependent visa with his dad’s Set(LR) at the same time, will this period be a gap for my son while he waiting for dad’s PR?

Question 2. Does my son has to leave the UK while he waiting for dad’s PR before his visa expired and apply dependent visa Abroad or he can apply dependent visa IN the UK when his dad get PR?

Question 3, can my son apply ROA after his dad gets his PR in the UK even if my son’s visa has expired?

Question 4, can my son apply citizenship after his dad gets his PR even if my son’s visa has expired?

Thanks a lot!!

What is YOUR immigration status in the UK?

The child is not British so cannot apply for RoA.

If either parent has ILR, then the child can register as British on form MN1. The child does not need ILR or a valid visa to do this if born in the UK.
