Advice needed on HSMP extension

Greetings to all !

I am currently living in the UK under HSMP Visa and employed since May '07.
My visa is due to expire in December this year and I do not qualify under the latest points requirements. I need advice on transitional arrangements and the documents required from my employer and also if its possible to apply for FLR under transitional arrangement right away or should I wait till october?
