My daughter visa confirmation

Post by Macro_Run » Wed Feb 07, 2018 8:46 am

For a confirmation,
I am going to apply a settlement visa for my family (wife & daughter)
My daughter was born in India before my ILR and citizenship.
Is she eligible to apply a settlement visa only or anything like Indefinite Leave to Enter from India?

Settlement visa, same as your wife. No special privileges unfortunately.

After filling the VAF 4A online for the settlement visa from out of UK, we have to submit two additional forms.

a)VAF4A - Appendix2 - to be filled by my wife
b)sponsorship undertaking form SU07/12 - to be filled by me.

Here is my queries,

1.should these two forms be submitted to my wife and daughter separately?

2.can I send the 'sponsorship undertaking form' along with the original documents to the Sheffield office?

Where did they ask them to fill out the SU07/12 form?

When filled the online application I found the in pop up text like
If you are applying the for the settlement as parent, grandparent or other dependant relative of some in the UK, your sponsor needs to complete the SU07.

I think, this form (SU07) is not applicable for me. Is that right?

How about the Appendix 2 form submission for my wife and daughter, Should we submit it individually?

That's right. Your wife is applying as a partner, not as a parent, grandparent nor other dependant relative of someone in the UK.

One form is appropriate, as it provides section for dependents. The children are dependent on your wife.

Could you clarify this?

I am filling the Appendix 2 - Financial requirement form for the settlement visa.
In the form I filled for the questions,

3.11 What is your sponsor’s annual income from this employment before tax? >>>>>> £ 30,000

3.12 Has your sponsor been in employment with the same employer and earning the amount, as detailed in 3.11 above,
continuously for 6 months prior to the date of the application? (Category A)

Yes : go to 3.21 ; No : go to 3.13

I have a question, if I tick the box Yes, do I need to prove the amount £22,400 (for wife & daughter) in the last six month period only from the current employer or may it be one year period from the current employer.

Sorry & Thanks CR001

Firstly, I am sorry about that if this question asked many times.I have to make sure that before applying the visa.

I am a naturalised British citizen and I am going to apply settlement visa for my wife and daughter.

My Wife's application
-------------------------
1. VAF4A online application
2. Appendix -2

My daughter's appiation
----------------------------

1. VAF4A online form
2. Appendix 1
3. SU07 form (I am not sure this is necessary for her)

In the appendix 1 form, which parts need to be filled since I am a British.

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... vaf4a1.pdf

Part1 ( Your Personal Circumstance) - This part says that "Do not complete this part if you are applying as the child of settle parent(s) with limited leave"

Part2 ( Your Sponser's Financial Circumstance)

part3 ( Your Accommodation & Other details)

Hi Vinny,

But when filling the the VAF4A online form, it says that as below.

In the form,

Reason for Visit : Settlement
Visa Type : Settlement
Visa Sub Type : Child or Other Dependant of Settled Person

In the pop up Text,
After you have completed the online form, you must complete the relevant appendix, which can be found at : https://www.gov.uk/gov....../file/261439/vaf4a1.pdf
If you are applying for settlement as the parent, grandparent or other dependent relative of some one in the UK, your sponsor needs to complete and sign the Sponshorship Undertaking Form (SU07).

I am confusing now and I think we must fill the Appendix 1 for the child application.

SU07 is for adult dependents NOT for children.

It is Appendix 2 for the child, same as for mother.

Thank you CR001.

Finally, I have come to a conclusion.

1. VAF4A online application for my wife
2. VAF4A online application for my daughter
3. Just one 'Appendix 2' form (for both)

I am not going to submit 'Appendix 1 and SU07' forms for my child anyway!
If there are any changes or if need any additional, please let me know kindly.

Hello Moderator & Members,

I am sorry to dig into the question again and again.

Yesterday, I talked with my friend who applied the settlement visa for his wife and his own child (same as me), received their visa recently.

He submitted the following forms

for his wife:

1. Online application (VAF4A)
2. Appendix 2 form

for his own child:

1. Online application (VAF4A)
2. Appendix 1 form
3. SU07 form

I don't understand why he submitted all these forms.

But, our moderators and members said the 'Appendix 2 is only enough for my wife and daughter.

I am still confusing for filling the appendix form for my daughter. Could I get any reason/answer from moderators or someone who applied a settlement visa recently from out of UK. Thanks!

Hi All,
Please share your experience and answer

Along with the original documents, should I send the online application(VA4FA) and appendix forms to Sheffield office?
(or)

Should my wife submit the online application(VA4FA),appendix forms and photo in VFS, India during the appointment.

I hope that no need to submit the Tuberculosis test for below 11 years child.

Tuberculosis tests for visa applicants wrote:Children
All children must see a clinician who’ll decide if they need a chest x-ray. Children under 11 will not normally have a chest x-ray.

You must take your child to an approved clinic and complete a health questionnaire. If the clinician decides your child doesn’t have TB they’ll give you a certificate. Include this certificate with your child’s UK visa application.

Hi Vinny,
I am a naturalised British.

After reading your comments carefully. I got an idea, the appropriate appendix form for applying settlement visa to my wife and daughter.

The appendix 2 is only the correct form for both wife & daughter.

Any suggestion from anybody?

For the online payment (Visa & IHS),

1) can I use UK Visa debit card? (I think the international fee also deducted)
2) should I pay Indian rupees using Indian bank card only?

which is the better option?

Hello Londoner007,

Can I leave blank in the Part 1 (Your Relationship To The Sponsor) of Appendix 2 form for my daughter?
