Tier2 to ILR (Employer Absence Letter)

Post by qad3r007 » Tue Jan 16, 2018 3:35 pm

Hello I'm also going to apply for ILR through Tier2 5 year residency. It's very confusing as to what information really needs to be in the employer absence letter.

Does the employer only need to include the approved to and from dates that i took annual leave from the system to travel outside UK? or actual dates that i travelled and returned to UK?

Help would be much appreciated! desperate i've been going through the forum but cannot find a solid answer for this.

Seems like the attachment on that page is not accessible to me :(. I just need to know if the employer gives me a letter with just the approved holiday dates and mentioning that i travelled out of UK during those dates. would that be sufficient?

Thanks

I believe the dates of departure and arrival do not count as absence outside the UK e.g. 01/11/2013 03/11/2013 2 Days should be 1 Day.

Moderators can confirm this.

I've read about that as well. However is the letter correct apart from that. So the dates are actually my annual leave given to me by the company. The company don't know when i went out of UK within those days, So i've just written a column saying "Days out of UK"

The employer absence letter is separate to the absence page in the form where you calculate your absence days.

Your employer needs to list your holidays taken.

Thanks i'll ask my employer to only add the dates i've taken annual leave on in the letter and i'll add the actual dates out of UK in the application form.

Tier 2 to ILR: Absences for ILR Dependant SET(O)

Post by qad3r007 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 1:01 pm

Hi,

While filling the SET(O) form i've noticed section 6.13 and 6.14

6.13 Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted
since 11 January 2018? If yes, go to next question. If no, go to section 7.

6.14 Have you had any absences from the UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018?

Does this mean that i do not need to list any absences for my Wife on the SET(O) form before 11 January 2018?

Thanks your help is greatly appreciated

I have exactly the same Question what do they mean by SINCE 11 Jan 2018? does this mean i don't need to give them details of my absences from the UK from before 11 January 2018?

6.13 Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018? If yes, go to next question. If no, go to section 7.

6.14 Have you had any absences from the UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018?

Can you please start your own topic or continue in one for ILR you already have, rather than tagging your questions onto other topics you find.

Re: Tier 2 to ILR: How long have you lived in the UK?

Post by qad3r007 » Wed Feb 28, 2018 4:07 pm

Hey guys,

I have my appointment next week and wanted to know the answer to this question
7.13. How long have you lived in the UK?

I've been in UK since 2007 on student visa, then changed to PSW in 2011 and finally in March 2013 i switched to TIER 2 (this is which my application is based on).

What would i need to mention in section 7.13, would it be 10 years 5 months or 4 years 11 months

Please any help is appreciated

Section 10 in SET O form asks about your Biometric Residence Permit details. It does not ask seperately about adding dependants details.

Hi, what did you eventually put in 7.13?

I am confused about the same question. I entered the UK first ever time in 2014 on a student visa. Then went back to my home country in 2007. Came back to the UK in 2009 on a student visa again, then changed to psw and then eventually to Tier 1 Entrepreneur.

Could someone please clarify whether I count the total number of years I have lived in the UK since 2004 and use that in 7.13 OR do I count the time I've spent on Tier 1 Entrepreneur?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, i got my ILR approved today and in 7.13 i just put my time on tier 2. You just need to add your qualifying period.

Congratulations!

Did you deduct the time you were absent from the UK while you were on tier 2 for Question 7.13 or you included it?
