Maintanance Fund requirements for India

Hi,

Can someone give exact details on the Maintanance fund requirements for those applying from India.

Iam really confused as some members on the forum say its 800 pounds and some say 2800 pounds for those applying from India. Also I believe the amount should be in the account for 1 month is enough.

Can some one give details on the exact amount and the time it should be there in the bank account.

I have already received the HSMP Approval letter (in March). I need to Apply for EC only.

1) 2800 pounds is the correct amount if you apply from India.

2) You should have maintained 2800 pounds over the last three months before you apply for the visa.

800 pounds is for the ppl who are in uk and its enough for them to show this account in one month bank statement.

Thanks for the reply.

So if i have a dependent then I need to maintain (2800+2800) ie., 5,600 pounds which comes to Rs.4,50,000.

I think its really a problem for people applied before Tier1 to maintain 4.5 lacs in liqiud funds and that to maintaining for 3 months period.

I have already received the HSMP Approval letter (before April 1st). I need to Apply for EC only.
