Sponsorship docs certified by solicitor ?Needed or not?

Hi All,
I will be sponsoring my mother for a family visitor visa to come to UK from India.
I have gathered all the documents but I have one doubt.
I am planning to fax the xerox of my passport,visa, invitation letter and bank statements.
Do I have to get the xerox copies certified by some solicitor as verification proof before I can send them to my mother for application?

Has anyone had any problems with the invitation letter not being originally signed by me.Will fax copies of originals do?

You need to attest the photocopy of the passport. As for the sponsorship letter, you can send this without the need for a solicitor to draw up and attest..
