Applying for British citizenship based on marriage

Hi All,

My husband is about to apply for his British citizenship online. He is Non EU citizen married to British national.

I want to ask with regards to the rferres: It says the professional person can be a manager of a VAT registered company. He works in a large factory which is VAT registered as they 400+ employees but they do have many managers, assistant managers etc. IS it ok to ask his line manager for reference or does this manager need sto be like the main top manager of the company?

It can be any person but at the manager level of VAT regd company or limited company as far as I understand.
