Child of British Citizen visa

Post by lainybug » Mon Aug 27, 2018 10:09 am

Hi All,

Please could someone clarify for me:

If a parent has registered as a British Citizen under UKM (born before 1983 to a British mother), has a South African wife and South African-born children...

If they were to come to the UK to live, the wife applies for a spouse dependent visa, but what about the children? What visa do they come on, and will they have to pay the NHS surcharge? As far as we are aware, they can also register as British citizens after living in the UK for 3 years.

Thanks!
