Need assistance ::::??

Post by doc94 » Wed Nov 14, 2018 3:25 pm

Hi,
I am really confuse about something. I am from Pakistan, currently on a student visa in uk. My fiance is British. We want to marry in the coming two months. I want to invite my dad on a visitor visa to UK for my wedding. So my question is, do I need to give a notice at a registry office before my dad apply for a visitor visa?

Thanks

I am not sure about your question. The 2 issues are non related. It might help if you have a copy on the notice attached with the supporting documents your father is going to use in Pakistan. But that will be just one of a lot of other documents your father will need as supporting evidence when he is applying.

Are you aware that you can only give notice to marry with a Home Office designated Registry Office?

The Registrar is legally bound to notify the Home Office who can then extend the registration period from 28 to 70 days on order to interview you both separately, if they choose to do so before the marriage can take place.

your father will have to show very solid strong ties with his country of residence/origin.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Hi,
My sister is living in the UK on a spouse visa she will sponsor my dad and also if my fiance writes a letter and mention that we are getting married in ---- month. Will the letter from my fiance proves enough evidence that we are getting married??
