Teacher of English and Italian UK move?

Hi,
my partner is foreign- Croatian, and she has a masters degree in teaching (English and Italian), as in the actual degree is in teaching- a mag.educ or to us, a master of education. She has several years high school teaching experience in Croatia

I'm not very confident how that would work here in the UK, the idea of a non native speaker teaching English to GCSE/A level pupils, assuming there are jobs to spare in that field?
