Good Evening,
I was granted Tier 2 leave to remain on 16 Jan 2014 and hence I am eligible to apply for ILR on and from 20 Dec 2018. I have a few questions regarding this application and it would be very helpful if other members can give their opinion/advice on the below:-
1) Letter from employer- I was on Tier 4 visa before switching to Tier 2 and had started working with my sponsor around 16/12/2013 after which they applied for my Tier 2 visa which was subsequently granted on 16Jan14. Now on the letter which my employer would be issuing me to confirm salary, leave record etc - what should they mention as my employment start date? Should it be 16Dec2013 or 16Jan2014?
2) Refusal of Tier 2 extension:- In Dec2016 - I applied for Tier 2 extension under the same employer which was refused by UKVI due to a clerical error in which my salary was incorrectly mentioned in the COS. The Tier 2 extension was granted on reapplication which was made within 14days of previous refusal.
How should I phrase this in the ILR application and would it have any effect on the outcome?
3) Tourist Visa to France was refused:- In Feb2013, when I was on Tier 4 visa in UK - my application for tourist visa to France was refused due to inadequate maintenance funds. The visa was subsequently granted by French Embassy on reapplication after 2 months and since then I have successfully been granted for schengen visa 2-3 times for further travels.
Again, how should I phrase this in the ILR application and would it have any effect on the outcome?
In the opinion of the esteemed members of this forum - does the above issues warrant me to go through a solicitor or I should be okay to apply on my own?
Thanks
AY
