Thanks but do I apply for the presettled status once the scheme opens or should we apply for the residence card straightaway?
Should he apply for the residence card even though it won't be valid after 2020 or just the presettled status in April. He can work with the EEA Family Permit for now.secret.simon wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 11:44 pmDoes he plan to work in the UK? He should apply for a Residence Card asap, as the CoA will be required as proof of his right to work in the UK.
If he has found an acceptable employer who accepts the family permit, then the only advantage of a residence card would be visa free travel with you in the EEA for as long as British Residence Cards are accepted abroad.
