Hello Everyone,
Apologies to the mods, as this is the only appropriate forum I could find. I'm in a bit of a sticky situation. But let me tell you a little bit of history.
In 2015 around October my T4 visa was about to expire. I found out I could get sponsored and before my T4 expiry I applied for a T2. No, it wasn't an umbrella company. Then I waited, hoping to hear my decision in the next 8 weeks but then got a letter saying they need more time and will contact me later.
Fast forward to August 2016. HO requires additional documentation from my sponsor and what not. Seeing as the entire time I never received a salary and that company didn't have much funds, my "employer" and I decided it would be best if I just leave by withdrawing my application all together, rather than get rejected (which I would have tbh). I promptly sent in a request to withdraw my application before the deadline my company had to send additional documents.
I then left the UK within the 28 day timeframe. This was before the grace period was reduced to 14 days.
Fast forward to today, and the company I currently work for wants to sponsor all its employees to visit the UK on its annual trip. So flight, trip cost and whatever else will be paid by them. There will be some 30 of us going.
Now they will apply for a visa on my behalf to visit in around Feb-March.
so my question is, given the little bit of sketchy history from the above, would I get found out I never got paid and therefore get rejected from a visit visa? I'd rather not apply if the chances of refusal are high if they decide to do a background check on me. I sort of stand out because I am only one of two people who was in the UK on a T4. The other person was also on a T4 but he there for a year only and since then has gotten a visit visa.
Also, I really do realise something like this is unique so I'm pretty sure I may expect a generic answer. however any help would be much appreciated and if anyone has any suggestions to clear up this mess somehow, I'm listening.
Thanks for the help
