Set Lr application - passport already with the Home Office

Dear friends,

I have applied for SET LR online and have an appointment at the Sopra Steria branch next week. My passport is already with the HO for my SET O application & I am varying my application to SET LR now since I have clocked 10 years before they could make a descision on my pending application. I have mentioned in the form that my passport is currently with the home office.

1. When Sopra Steria verify the ID docs will they accept my drivers licence as a proof of photo identity as I don’t have my passport ? (Unfortunately I don’t have a copy of my passport either but I do have all the necessary info ie: passport number, date/place of issue/expiry.

2. Should I carry passport photos or don’t need to as they will take my photo(s) as apart of their new biometrics process ?

Many thanks for your reply. The basis of the Set O application is 5 years on Tier 1 General. The reason why I would like to Vary is because in case the HO decide to refuse my application, with the SET LR application I will at least get a chance to appeal & get a chance for a fair hearing in front of an independent judge. Whereas in case of a refusal following a set O application all one gets is the right for an Administrative review which is conducted by the HO them selves.

1 dependant but she has a pending FLR FP application at present.

All I would like to know is : 1. If my drivers licence could be accepted by Sopra Steria as proof of ID & 2. Do I need to carry any passport photo(s) with me for the appointment.

Hi,
You should be having atleast copy of ur Passport 1st&Last-Pages of Pasport.
You can take pritOut& show thm.If NOT ask ur solicitor, thy should hav a copy of ur Docs,thy will Attest&Sign on the copies
-If u drivingLicence is UK-Driving Licence valid&NOT expired thn it is Fine.
