Hello all!
I have a very complicated situation, I was hoping if you all could help me.
I had first entered UK with my parents as a tier 2 dependent at the age of 17, later I went back to India to study for my undergrads, while my parents continued to stay here and were granted ILR in 2014.
I came back to UK right after my undergrads in 2016 on tier 4 visa to pursue my masters, and then landed a job later in 2018 and was granted tier 2 visa, I live with my parents atm and I am 26, but I am in full time employment. My current tier 2 visa expires in March, I was wondering if there is anyway I could get to stay back because of my parents ILR. I am the only child of my parents.
I spoke with a solicitor and he said I could possible apply on a human rights ground and prove that I live with my parents and it’s unreasonable for me to go back alone.
I am very worried about this complex situation.
I read on the UKBA website that a over 18 can be a dépendant as long as they don’t lead an indépendant life- where indépendant refers to- no separate family unit, unmarried and lives with parents.
I do meet all this criteria.
Please put in your views.
Thank you
Any help would be highly appreciated
