Can transfer of money affect visa application?

Hi,
I’m from the UK and my fiancé is from the USA. We plan to get married in late 2020 and I’ve just recently bought a house in my name for us to live in after the wedding. The plan was that I’d pay the deposit and he could help with furnishing etc. I was wondering if the transfer of money from his account to mine to cover these costs would affect our visa application at all?
