query on eea family permit form..

Post by megmog » Mon Jun 09, 2008 9:45 pm

I am just filling out the EEA Application form and where it asks " how long do you intend to remain in the uk" what is an acceptable answer?

I intend to remain there (Providing I get the permit) for the forseeable future but I am aware the permit in initially only valid for 6 months...

what is the right answer?

When i filled mine out (this was over a year ago) I just put that I was intending to settle in the UK with my spouse who was exercising treaty rights and that was it.

They put that on there because the family permit is also used for visiting purposes, so you should be fine just stating the truth that you intend to remain.
