ILR and Dependent application

Post by fou001 » Thu Feb 14, 2019 7:20 pm

Hi Every one,

My 10 years are completing in Dec 2019 I was on Tier 1 Ent Visa and got an extension till Jan 2021.

My wife came to the UK as a student in may 2013 and she converted to dependent visa March 2016.

My son(4.7 years) is born in the UK and also on dependent visa since March 2016.

My daughter is newborn has not applied for the visa yet.

Kindly need suggestion on

1. how to do my future application in an efficient way

2. Policy guidance for ILR application and dependent application

If you apply for ILR based on long residence, your spouse will have no option but to switch to FLR(M) spouse visa, meeting the English and financial requirements. This will also reset her clock to zero for ILR based on 5 years residence (2 x 2.5 year visas).

UK born children can be registered as British on form MN1 once EITHER parent is granted ILR.
