SET(M) APPLICATION FOR SPOUSE

Post by Marwaha » Thu Apr 04, 2019 4:25 pm

Hi Guys,

The SET (M) application for spouse UK Visa is a very simple process of obtaining permanent settlement in the UK but you must be honest in your application at all time(s).

My wife went for her indefinite leave to remain application via SUPER PRIORITY SERVICE at Birmingham.

We did not upload any documents prior to our appointment, our solicitor(s) supported us in the application itself.

Submitted application to UKVI - 25 March 2019.

Biometrics and Uploaded documents at Birmingham SOPRA - 02 April 2019. Decision within 2 hours - Visa application approved on the same day.

Dicision Letter and Biometric Card obtained: 04 April 2019.

In your application, you must enclose that you can support yourselves without having any recourse to public funds.

1) The grounds prove that you must show that you are earning £18,600 per year. Supporting employer letter, bank statement(s) and payslips to prove you are earning the levied amount. Either prove employment or self employment. The easier option is employment. If by employment, cover the previous 6 month(s) for payslips and bank statements prior to the date of the application or combining the income for you both to surpass the threshold income of £18,600.

2) Subsiting Relationship - Covering the period(s) you are relying upon, since the last grant of leave. I would prove documentation from the last five years, if you have records of it or otherwise, cover the last 2.5 years, letters and corresponding letters, e.g. from HMRC, DVLA, DR Surgery, Hospital Letters or other government letters or even bills that was addressed in your name, e.g. Argos Card and etc.

3) proof of your marriage - your marriage certificate, divorce certificate if you or your partner was divorced earlier. If you have children together with your partner, their birth certificate, followed by their passport documentation.

4) Prove adequate accommodation. Proof of where you are living. Is it your own properly or are you living with parents or friends. In either case, you must prove documentation of a) covering letter from the property owner, b) a copy of the passport, accompanied by the Land Registry document and an original document for the council tax period.

Other supporting evidence(s) that believe are suitable and you will definitely obtain the permanent settlement.

Good Luck Guys, been following post(s) from this forum, some are really difficult cases.

Hi
I'm going to apply for my ILR in 2 weeks time.
I would really appreciate of you could copy paste the list of documents and your covering letter.
My husband is British born and he meet the financial requirement I'm a house wife with 2 children.
Do I need to send my bank statements or my husband's statements would be ok.

Thanks
