Abscene from the UK on Spouse Visa

Hi,
I am new to this board, I really need some advice if someone could please.
Husband is a British Citizen:
My wife submitted application for uk spouse visa on 05/10/2016 whilst she was pregnant. She received the message on 07/10/2016from uk visa centre to collect her visa, there was holiday at the time the visa centre was closed and my wife gave birth on 09/10/2016. My wife left the baby and came to uk after 15 days and she collected her BRP AND left the uk one week later. She Then went back to look after my baby and I applied for(baby) British passport straight away and it took 11 months to issue British passport after ordeal, so my question is that my wife was absent for 11 months so is this absence is a reason or not because I am applying for her visa under 5 years route. And The Home Office also send a copy of letter to MP explaining the situation and request an apology for delaying the British Passport application for my child. Note MY WIFE COULDN’T come to UK because there was no one to look after my new born baby.
Your opinion is appreciated.
