Registration of a Child under 18 - MN1

Post by try-one » Mon Jun 23, 2008 5:22 pm

Hi,
We got ILR and we want to register our children as british citizens (born in the UK and parents now settled in the Uk....).
My question is regarding time scales, we need to renew their schenguen visas and other admin activities that could be waived if they are british....does anyone know how much time would it take for an MN1 Form to be dealt with?
I checked the HO website: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/briti ... tingtimes/ and they say it should be 7 months....now, for two toddlers, there is not much to check and could be less time.....anyone has used MN1 forms recently for children...how much time is likely to take?
Thank you in advance.

Most MN1 cases are linked to an adult naturalisation.

Stand-alone MN1 is quicker, usually within 2 months unless things have changed recently.

JAJ, thank you very much for the information, hopefully they would get it that fast. (not much to check for children anyway...)
