Visit visa for Parents - Question about document required and Sponsorship. Please help.

Hi,

I have an ILR and live with my husband here. I plan to invite my parents to visit me as they have never been to the UK and visited me here. I have some specific questions to which I didn't find the answers here and hence the new topic.

Before that I would like you to know that:

• I would be sponsoring my parents visit and take care of their stay in the UK. However, my husband is the one who pays the rent and council taxes and the tenant agreement etc are in his name.

• I am employed and have a bank balance.

The question I have is about the documents:

Q1: Is it OK for me to just provide my:

• Employment letter.

• 6 months payslips.

• 6 months Bank Statement.

• Water/Gas bills (It is in our joint name).

The second question I have is about the documents to be submitted by my parents. I Dad is retired and gets a pension and my mom is a housewife. Is it enough from them to provide:

Dad:

• Property papers (House they currently live in India is owned by Dad).

• Pension letter with amount specified.

• Utility bills.

Q2: Is this enough proof that he will return back after his stay.

Mom:

• 6 months bank statement (I/my brothers keep sending money to her account occasionally though not regularly).

Q3: This is the only document my mom can provide. Does she also need any proof of living with my Dad as a dependent or any marriage certificate (they don't have one).

Finally, I want them to go to the VFS together and not have different appointments. How can this be done?

Q4:

• Do I as the sponsor provide only a single copy of my documents or do I need to attach separate document for my mom and dad. (NOTE: I will be filling up the online application form for them.)

ANY HELP WITH THIS WILL BE APPRECIATED AS I AM GREATLY STRESSED OUT ABOUT THIS AS I CAN'T PERSONALLY TRAVEL AT THE MOMENT AND HELP THEM OUT WITH THE DOCUMENTS.
