Travelling WITHOUT EEA Family Permit

Post by kate4kaby » Wed May 08, 2019 2:57 pm

hi, i'm looking for an answer or maybe personal experience. i'm a Belarus citizen, married to an Irish citizen, we live in Ireland. i'm here nearly 5 years and at this stage i hold the Irish Residence Permit with stamp 4, doesn't say member of EU family tho. we traveled to UK in autumn and i applied for EEA permit, got it, but it is now expired after 6 months. we intend to travel again in june for a few days. my question is - can i travel without a permit considering i'm travelling with my husband.
P.S. found this in a guidance for border officers: "Third-country national family members who do not hold an EEA family permit, a residence card issued by the UK, or by another EEA member state in accordance with article 10 of the Free Movement Directive (2004/38/EC), should not be denied
admission for lack of such a document alone. You should assess whether or not a person qualifies for admission under the EEA Regulations, taking note of the guidance on those who seek admission under the extended family member provisions".
