Tier 2 -ILR w/ name change

Good day,

I will be applying for ILR via 5 year route. I wanted to change to my married name whilst doing this. Is it necessary to use my married name on my Life in the UK test?

Also, my husband is a dependent and his visa is due to expire on 2020 (He needs 3 more years to apply for ILR). Will his visa be still valid if I get my ILR status? Does he need to change/renew his visa as well?

No, not for LIUK. But you will have to change your passport to your new name first.

His visa remains valid if you get ILR based on tier 2 general 5 years residence.
