Tier 2 Dependent Post Main Applicant ILR

Post by famymazh » Fri May 17, 2019 5:31 pm

Hi,

I have got my ILR last week (from Tier 2 route) and now I have to apply extension for my wife because her Tier-2 Dependent is expiring next month and still there is 1 more year for her to become eligible for ILR.

Please can you advice what application I have to fill and submit for her? Please kindly send link if you can.

Thanks,
Farooq

Tier 2 dependent application. You need 90 days maintenance funds if £630. It will be a 3 year extension and you must pay £1200 IHS plus visa fee.

Thank you Cr001. I leaving my current company in next 2-3 weeks. I see Tier-2 Application is asking for Sponsor licence number and details. Do I need sponsorship details for Tier -2 General dependent when in my case visa type is ILR?

You do not have to stay with your sponsor.

For dependent extension, you simply state the details asked for, even if you have left your tier 2 sponsor. It has no effect on the dependent application as they are NOT dependent on your sponsor but on YOU.

Thank you. I am filling https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general this application but seems it is asking details like your planned employment, salary, etc. I am not sure if I am on the right application. Please can you advice?

Thanks. WIth your help I manage to complete draft application.

You must provide documents showing that you have the required maintenance funds to cover living costs for you and any of your dependants while you are in the UK.

In this case do I have to provide my bank statement or should i provide my wife bank statement, who is dependent and applying for extension? My wife worked for few months and have maintained required balance to show in her bank statement. It is maintained from past 4-5 months.

Regards,
Farooq

I tried to pay heath surcharge but found £2400 is asked. I have got my ILR from Tier-2 and now I am applying for my wife visa extension because she is not eligible for ILR. am I missing something here?

You should put your ILR expiry date 3 years from now, ie 2022 and not 2024.

Hi,

I am trying again...

It is asking..

"The person you're joining or remaining with"

Visa Route = What shall I put here? In my case it is ILR.

Visa Category = What shall I put here? In my case it is ILR from Tier-2 General

Thanks,
Farooq

I tried that option and now health surcharge is coming up £1600.

I am not sure what I am missing here. This portal is so complicated and confusing.
