Employer didn't pay me

Hello all,
I received a general Tier 2 Visa to work for a start up in London in September. I paid for a 3 year visa thinking I'd be in the UK for at least that time frame. They paid me below minimum wage (and a third of my salary) for three months because they had financial issues. I quit after 6 months because I needed more stability, but I have recently found out they received funding and paid some employees back. It's been three months since I've left and they have no schedule to pay me my due, around 6k gbp. I have contacted them, but I keep getting ignored. I think it's a breech in my visa terms and pretty illegal. I have no idea what to do. Some of my former colleagues sued them, and have the option to liquidate the company but don't want to since there are still people working there. I now moved back to the US, and am very unsure of what do =(. Any advice would be very appreciated!!

This is not an immigration matter suggest you look at employment law help sites. As for suing, I think the cost of pursuing it to liquidation will cost you so much money it will put you off and just increase your losses.

For the amount of money owed, you would normally chase that through the small claims court.

Thank for the advice! One of my coworkers sued and has the option to liquidate the company because our employer just ignored him. So I'll definitely report them.
